The Midland Idea – A Curricular Framework
Midland values individual students and promotes growth and wholeness through quality teaching and personal attention both in and beyond the classroom. Pursuing truth and excellence with integrity and compassion, the College serves the church and society by preparing students for life and work in an increasingly complex world. As such, the following ideas guide the College’s curriculum.
1. Midland is nurtured by the Lutheran heritage and is open to and sensitized by other religious traditions. Midland affirms the transforming power of the Gospel and the importance of Christian values in daily life.
