Religious Life
Opportunity for regular worship is afforded through the chapel program. Chapel is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:10 a.m. and consists of a variety of worship experiences from traditional to contemporary. A service of praise and prayer is held every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. These programs are under the direction of the college pastor, who also is available for personal counseling with students. Personal religious growth may come not only through the classroom, but also through the aforementioned worship opportunities, special study sessions and interest groups. The goal at Midland is to stimulate not only intellectual maturity, but also spiritual maturity within the Christian faith. The campus pastor and the Office of Student Development will help students who ask to locate a place of worship in their religious tradition.
The Christian Life Council, made up of representatives from several religious groups on campus, meets regularly to coordinate activities and discuss issues relating to the faith life of the college.
