Employment

Federal College Work-Study Program

The College Work-Study Program is a federal program which provides jobs for students with demonstrated financial need. Both part-time and full-time students are eligible to participate in this program. Students are employed on campus and with non-profit agencies. Preference is given to students who demonstrate the greatest financial need and express a desire to work.

Campus Employment

A number of students who do not qualify for work-study but who desire to work are employed on campus. The Dining Hall, residence halls, the library, several offices and the maintenance department provide working opportunities for such students. The need to work to pay for college expenses remains a relevant factor in selecting students for campus employment.

Off Campus Employment

An Off Campus Employment Service is maintained in the Career Resource Center for the benefit of students who need assistance in locating employment away from the campus. The City of Fremont and the surrounding area offer numerous opportunities for part-time employment to Midland students. Students are encouraged to register for off campus employment soon after their arrival on campus.
